1. Lovely photographs, Joan! Autumn is my favorite season. My husband and I often take hikes and look for colors of the season change too. Soon it’ll be a bit bleak, but there are lots of treasure to be found even in the winter months.

6. Good for you for playing up subdued colors, which I think are under-appreciated. Grasses contribute a lot to that palette.

   • Thanks, Steve. It was the purples that really caught my attention. I often wish I could have a dress made of those colours.

       Perhaps you can search out a dressmaker to make you a dress with purples inspired by nature.

     • Now that’s purple! And the horsemint, as well. The dressmaker would be me in another hobby, my oldest, that I pursue.

8. Very nice pictures, Joan. Are they ones you’ve taken over the years?

   • I took them all on Friday, before the weather turned messy. It took me 60 shots to get these few. Eventually, I’ll get more efficient. But I had a great walk!
